5 a day

The Department of Health recommends that we eat at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables per day, to maintain a healthy diet and to reduce the risk of disease and ill-health.

What counts as one portion?

Strawberries - 7 berries
Raspberries - 2 handfuls
Blueberries - 2 handfuls (4 heaped tablespoons)
Gooseberries - 1 handful
