Smoothies

These colourful fruit drinks are quick, healthy, and delicious and make the perfect breakfast or pick-me-up at any time of the day.

Ingredients:

Blueberry Buzz Smoothie

  • 125g blueberries
  • Juice of 1 orange and 1 lime
  • Sugar to taste
  • 6tbsp natural yoghurt

Summer Berry Smoothie

  • 50g each raspberries and blackberries
  • 50-75ml milk
  • 1tsp lemon juice
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (keep 1tsp to add at the last minute)

Strawberry Sensation Smoothie

  • 125g strawberries
  • 1 large banana
  • 2tsp lemon curd or 1tsp lemon juice and 1tsp honey
  • Cubes

Citrus Burst Smoothie

  • ½ ripe pink or orange fleshed melon
  • 1 ripe nectarine, peeled
  • 1tbsp lemon or lime juice
  • 6-7tbsp milk or buttermilk

Method:

  1. Blend all the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until smooth, adding more sugar or honey to taste. Serve with ice. Drink immediately.
